Alright, great day everybody! Happy birthdays Benny, Jasper and Angel! I can't believe Olomouc was 2 weeks ago already. Time's fun when you're having flies-i.e, rotting.
Anyway, let's clear some things up.
1. The competition was not held in Prague, indeed not even near Prague. It was held in Olomouc, few hundred KMs away from the Czech capital. Historically it was the capital of the old Moravia, which makes up the Southern half of the Czech lands. Prague is in the upper half and belongs to the old Bohemia. (Hey at least i learnt something.)
2. No Importa La Distancia doesn't literally mean "Go the distance". It is closer to "regardless of the distance". But go ahead, ask me if i really care.
3. Speaking of no importa, no importa what anybody says about AJChoir. So we might not have won anything really in Olomouc, so the rest of the world will still look down on us anyway, so people will always feel we don't deserve it and that they are better. Let's put it this way, some things are bigger than championships. Some things are better than gold awards. We don't have to prove anything to anybody, we've proved it to ourselves. That's what really matters. No need for the world's applause.
So my dear friends, don't get too hot under the collar about things people might tell you or things you might read. You know in your heart what there is to know. That is what really matters. AJChoir has come such a loooong way and there were many moments where so many of us lost hope and all. Don't you see the real victory. It is not in your 99s, its not in your gold with honours, it is not in your 2 gold awards, it is not the 2nd thing. It is you.
You can win all the awards in the world. But the true magic is in coming together to sing. To quote Albus Dumbledore (I hear you groan), "music. a magic beyond all we do here." We're probably not the best choir technically. But i daresay we sing for the right reasons. And that more than makes up for it. Much much more.
To the rest of the world, criticize all you like if it makes you happy. Scorn and belittle us if you must. I just thank God i was on the train; and if you were on my train, you'd realise the destination ain't as important as the journey.

Dobry den everyone! Good news from Olomouc! Two categories, both 99 out of a hundred marks. Didn´t win them incredibly, lost to two choirs with perfect scores, one of them ACJC. We finished second in the other category too, losing to this really solid Czech choir who beat us again in the finals. Anyway we polled the second highest amount of judges votes in the finals so you can imagine the scenes here in Olomouc. 2nd out of 175 ain´t too bad i guess! Haha.. Prague and Helsinki up next, hope everyone is doing well!

Dobrě rano! Its 830 here in Olomouc so naturally it looks like 3am.. Sun only sets at 10, my goodness.. Well hope everyone is doing well.. DJ and I are doing fine, he wanted me to type that a handsome guy is next to me but i think that he is the one who should be saying that..

Dobry den everyone.. The Czech keyboards are kinda hard to navigate! Well hope everyone back home is doing fine we§re having an okay time here. Its summer so naturally the temperature is between 5 and 15 degrees celcius.. We§re competing on Saturday so we do pray for us and all yeah? The churches here are quite nice although there are 29 churches for a population of a hundred thousand. Nice small town this Olomouc, very Catholic, with all these Catholic structures all over really. The Holy Trinity Column even has a tabernacle within it, "for the purpose of the whole world." Will try to keep updating as much as possible so yep.. Pax vobiscum!
