Good evening everyone. Don't really know whether to laugh or cry when i read my tagboard and all the nonsense there. It seems to dog me and i, to my recent memory, have been linked with practically everyone i know. I now look forward to the moment where i'll be linked with victoria beckham.

Firstly, to my sister and tabitha, happy searching for the truth because you'll never find anything remotely close to the truth. In the meantime, i'm sure you all have more important things to do than to just sit around and flood our tagboards with unfounded rumours. As our dear jie min would say, enjoy!

And speaking of jie min, i must congratulate you on the uproar your tag has created. Just so you might know, i would send you home if you wanted me too. Really. So as such, there's really nothing much to say. Here's how the conversation went after monday choir:

Seng Hong: So how was your romantic walk with jeanette?
Me: It wasn't a romantic walk.
Chee Guan: That means it was a VERY romantic walk!
Me: I got nothing to say about this topic anymore.
Everyone: Whoa!!

5 mins later...

Gillian: So how was your romantic walk with jeanette?

Such nice friends i have in the choir.

Poor eleana also got some of the teasing; though i must say these folks are pretty good at translating a simple smile into long and sticky plots, much like rita skeeter you know. So i've learnt that the best way to make them shut up is to either say nothing or give the kelvin look. However, as i am neither a silent person nor someone who knows judo, i guess i'll just have to bear with the teasing until they tire of it.

By the way jeanette, you should go for the ch music awards because you had previously promised. (:, as you'd put it, if you go back on your word, see if i speak to you again. And don't argue, because RULE NO.1, the SC is always right. RULE NO.2, if you think the SC is wrong, refer back to RULE NO.1. Smile!

Hakuna matata everyone!

What's best for us? Do we really know? Our lit teacher was telling us a long time ago about this Immanent Will idea which i thought was quite intriguing. Apparently (and i say apparently because i haven't read the entire book, a certain Jude the Obscure), Jude is fortune's fool. Basically, the concept of this will is that there is a higher, supernatural kind of force leading us by its invisible hand through life. No matter how much we try, we cannot go against it and it results in us ending up in an undesirable situation, which is the worse off in our opinion.

Then i realised that the concept of this Will, though seemingly ludicrous initially, makes sense. Life will lead us to places we may not always want to end up in. Followung God's will might guide us to an undesirable fate. When that happens , we blame God and we blame fate. As profound as we imagine ourselves to be, we are actually more like rebellious children against the Father, or God. We often think we know what's best for us, completely disregarding the fact that our parents would know better. Surely, God's immanent will is far wiser than we. If we sail on His guiding wings, we might end up somewhere we didn't want to be, however, i ssure you, of it is the will of God, you'll be better off there than anywhere else.

1 Corinthians 1:25, God's weakness is stronger than human strength, and His folly wiser than human wisdom; and yet how many of us are wise or strong?

Happy Easter everyone! Hello to everyone who's new to this blog, if you have a blog and don't mind me linking you, just tell drop a tag or tell me in real life. If you read the below few posts and think i'm religious fanatic preaching to you, well i'm not but sometimes you've just got to say something you've been thinking a lot about. By the way, if you really want to see a religious fanatic's blog, click Clickhere
. No offense though author of this blog, it can be really inspirational at times.

By the way, watched the most controversial movie of our time already. (By our, i mean my time) Never thought i would cry so openly at a movie before, but there you go, Catholic or Christian or not, this story i think its bound to touch you. Didn't really see the big fuss about the gore though, i think in all likelihood it was a thousand times worse. And to a few folks out there who find it hard to forgive, hey, at least you weren't being nailed to a splintered piece of wood. I would really really think its harder to forgive someone who was literaaly piercing your flesh, wouldn't you?

Anyhow, beginning to enjoy school. Well actually i've never really not enjoyed school but i'm starting to see many different aspects of other people now, all good of course. I don't think Georgia and Yuying really believed me when i said i don't dislike anyone but well, i really don't. Hmmm, kind of disappointed that the China trip clashed with Jubilate, such an important week for the SFXY Choir i can't possibly miss right?

Oh, and aj's choir will be staging the musical "The Mikado" on the 15th of May, which is, 2 days before tiffy's birthday, 5 before zz, 6 after josh's, 4 after lydia's and also of a few more ican't recall at this instant. Since they are all clamouring for free tickets, it gives me great pleasure to say- NO. In any event, if you feel a burning desire to watch this spectacle (in a good sense of course), do tell me.

And keeping the ad's going, the 2nd CH Music Awards will be held on the 25th of May; its the first time a singing competition will be open to the outside world so try and make that date free with performances from shizhen, zz, dj, clement, kang seng, fabian, gen rong, justin jap and hosted by me, don't you think its something not to be missed? Tickets cost a mere $4. (I just realised the $ sign and the no. 4 were the same key.)

And lastly, class 34/04 will be putting up a musical item for some lit basking thing. Dunno what Georgia and all have in mind but i guess we're gonna find out soon. Gonna be fun though.

Til i blog again, have a happy life and don't say life sucks, because it only does if you make it. Hakuna matata!

Sunday, April 11

Its 1.30 on Easter morning. I should be asleep because i'm going to church early tomorrow morning. However, i asked my sister to let me blog surf and i really regret doing that.

It is most distressing, that after returning form a celebration of the Ultimate Victory, i should chance after blog after blog of hatred and mistrust. I just don't get how some people can use the most unsavoury language to describe friends. Read friends, not EX-friends. I really don't get it. Can we really live with ourselves after using that language on someone we know so well? Do we love to hate?

I now understand why heavy metal is so popular. Because our hearts have turned black. The Black Eyed Peas sing, "where is the love". Everyone says its a good song. Yet few of us really try to answer that question. Hatred leads to hatred leads to hatred leads to hatred. Dear friends, there is no end. We look upon Saddam as evil-personified because he's a mass murderer. Do you think we are more innocent than he? No, i tell you, we are not. For we commit murder everyday. We commit murder when we speak of a friend in such an unimaginable way. We commit murder when we slander, gossip or put down another person. Are we any more worthy than Hitler? No, we are not. For we are just as guilty. He was responsible for the death of millions. How many are we responsible for?

Please, i beg of you, do not hate. The world has enough evil already without us trying to make it darker. It is really really sad to see friends split for so trivial a reason. If you know i'm talking about you, i urge you to make up with that friend. There's only one good reason why you should lose a friend; when you stick to the truth and he doesn't. I don't think the scenario i'm talking about fits this bill. We wonder why we never are happy. We wonder why God allows us to suffer. The answer stares straight at us. We choose to suffer, we choose to be unhappy. You have a choice. Choose love over hate. Please.

I do not claim to be more innocent than you are. I am responsible for my share of mind murder. But i'm trying my best. Dear friends, stop living in darkness, the light awaits you. What light? The light of happiness. Hatred is a burden. Why carry this unnecessary burden over something even more unecessary. In veritate , i am just as disgusted by your behaviour as you are of another person's. Take the path of reconciliation and many will respect you more as a person. I would.

Friday, April 9

Happy Good Friday everyone! I figured that i'd better blog before all my regular fans start crying. I just realised i haven't blogged since mikey's birthday and also since setting up shop in the wonderfully boring institution disguised as AJ. Oh well, better late then never.

Congratulations to ZZ, DJ, Clement, Kang Seng, Gen Rong and Fabian for waltzing into the CHMA Finals. Especially for Clement, who i am told breezed his way into the solo finals as well. It is a little disappointing for me though that Gen Rong didn't take part in the solos or for that matter any of the other 4 but all the same i hope everyone has great fun at the first-ever open to public Awards Show. By the way, just a recommendation for all those folks with an other half, its an excellent opportunity to ask that other one out. (Especially if you're performing and want to show off and score points)

I love Good Friday. It may seem a little strange that i had wished you a 'happy' Good Friday, but essentially today is a day of celebration. Not a physical show of gladness, mind you, but more an inner happiness. In fact, it is completely possible for you to be moved to tears over Jesus's death and yet be happy that He died; believe me, i know. For, he did not die for us to mourn for Him, He died so we might find life in Him.

Good Friday is known as the Supreme paradox. Most would probably wonder what on earth is good about the death of our Lord. Quite simply, becaused He mortally perished, we shall never perish and all our sins have been washed away by His blood.

He died so we might live.
He was wounded so that our spiritual wounds might be healed.
He fell three times that we might always rise from our sins.
He cried so we might laugh.
In the violence of His Passion we find our peace.
He was bruised beyond recognition and was made ugly, so that we may see in Him that true beauty comes not of the flesh.
And His movements were restricted by being nailed to the tree, so that we might find freedom from the entrapment of sin, of which we are slaves.

The fundamental reason why we always choose wrong over right is because sin is always package so attractively. Much like the veela in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, we are so enticed we lose all control over ourselves. But in reality, sin is so ugly, like the veela, that when we realise how ugly it is, we will most likely never sin again.

There are only two forms of knowledge worth possesing. Knowledge of what love is and the knowledge of how to love. When we understand how much God loves us (so much so that He chose to become Man and undergo the worst suffering possible), we will find it hard to find sin attractive. For Jesus remains for us a light in this world of darkness. Yet in the darkest place, a pinprick of light is spotted immediately by the eye, so must we be able to spot Christ in everyone, especially in those you'd least expect. We recognise light in darkness, therefore it is possible to recognise God in a world fraught with evil and suffering, and in doing so, we'll be able to understand who love is. Not what but who. Following which, we can then know how to love everyone as He loved, and continues to love us.

John 15:13, No greater love can one man have, then to lay down his life for his friends.
He has already done that, can we now live our life showing love to everyone we meet, without exception?
